S/Sgt Jay W. Summers was employed at Bradley Mining Company as a driller.

He joined the Regular Army in Fort Douglas, Utah on 12 June 1941. He was sent overseas in January 1943

Fire in radio compartment, peeled off and went into a dive into the under cast. Two unconfirmed chutes reported.

S/Sgt Summers bailed out near the English Channel and was shot down by Germans.
