S/Sgt Theodore J. Paschke was sent overseas in early 1943.Per Col R.W. Jenna, CO of the 41st Armored Infantry Regiment: "While attempting to enter a building in pursuit of an enemy soldier, S/Sgt Paschke, was seriously wounded by enemy small arms fire. Although he was immediately evacuated to an Army hospital that is equipped to offer the best medical attention, his wounds proved fatal and he died a few days later.
