S/Sgt Jim T. Mc Cloy trained to become a radio operator at Scott Field, illinois and became the best of his class in gunnery school in Harlingen, Texas.The airplane was attacked by enemy fighters and also hit by flak. It was probably shot down by Lt. Gerhard Seifert of the 8/JG 26. It crashed near the target.
