S/Sgt Adolph E. Sicola graduated from North Arlington High School in 1941. He was employed at the American Can Company.He enlisted in Newark, New Jersey on 14 August 1942.
The aircraft was shot down by German fighters.
Two crew members survived and were taken prisoner, eight men were killed and initially buried at the community cemetery Hohenfelde on 7 January 1944.
