T/Sgt Billie D. Oldfield was employed as a farm laborer.

The aircraft was shot down by a fighter and crashed at 1400 hours.

Four crew members survived and were taken prisoner, six men were killed. they were intially buried at the cemetery of Parsau, Germany.

T/Sgt Oldfield is remembered at Highland Cemetery in Hamilton, Caldwell County, Missouri with a memorial marker.

His brother, T/5 Marvin C. Oldfield, was killed by an accidental bomb explosion in Carthage, Tunisia in 1943. He is buried at the North Africa American Cemetery in Tunisia, North Africa.
