William Daniels attended college and worked in a laundry.

He volunteered for the Air Corps of the Army of the United States at Jefferson Barracks, Missouri on 8 January 1942.

The aircraft was shot down by a fighter and crashed at 1400 hours.

Four crew members survived and were taken prisoner, six men were killed. They were intially buried at the cemetery of Parsau, Germany.
