Pvt James V. Miller graduated from McKinley High School in Marshfield, Wisconsin and was employed at the Kaiser Shipyards in Portland, Oregon.He enlisted in Portland, Oregon on 20 July 1943 and was sent overseas in July 1944.
He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery of Grand Failly, France.
