Pfc Maxwell W. Horton attended Fulton High School and was a sales clerk before he enlisted in Syracuse, New York on 21 August 1940.His brother, Lt Harold S. Horton, served in the same division. His brother, Cpl Carl Horton, served in New Guinea and CMM Frank Horton in the Pacific.
