Sgt John R. Seaman graduated from Henry Snyder High School. He was a welder at the Federal Shipyards in Kearny, New Jersey.He enlisted on 27 May 1942 and was sent overseas in January 1944.
Flak caused an explosion in the forward part of the airplane. After the explosion it was seen going in to a dive and never recover.
Two crew members survived and were taken prisoner, eight men were killed.
