Robert Bruck was a clerk.

He volunteered for the Air Corps of the Army of the United States at Fort Hayes, Ohio on 4 January 1942.

Flak caused an explosion in the forward part of the airplane. After the explosion it was seen going in to a dive and never recover.

Two crew members survived and were taken prisoner, eight men were killed.
