T/Sgt John A. Quinn was employed at Diebold Safe & Lock Co.

He volunteered for the Army of the United States on 10 Mar 1942 at Fort Hayes, Ohio. He was sent overseas in November 1942.

The airplane was attacked by German fighters. German Records indicate that the aircraft disintegrated at a high altitude. Sex crew members survived and were taken prisoner, four men were killed.

T/Sgt Quinn was initially buried at the new Cemetery of Zwischenahn on 24 April 1943.

He is remembered at Harman Cemetery in Gilboa, Putnam County, Ohio.
