S/Sgt Richard E. Haeft graduated from Clay High School in Genoa in May 1941.He joined the Air Corps of the Regular Army at Fort Hayes, Columbus, Ohio on 24 November 1941. He was sent overseas in September 1942.
This aircraft was lost to fighter attack. Seven crew members were killed, three were taken prisoner.
