Pfc Alfred Riotto attended Passaic High School for one year and was employed by the D and E Clothing Company.He enlisted in Newark, New Jersey on 16 May 1941 and was he was sent overseas in February 1945.
Pfc Riotto had been sitting before a gasoline stove which exploded. He entered the hospital the day before he died.
He was first buried at Temporary American Military Cemetery Champigneul, France.
