Pfc Philip B. Boude Jr. graduated from Camp Hill High School in 1943.

He enlisted in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania on 1 July 1943. He received training at Fort Benning in Georgia and then was admitted to the ASTP program at St. John's University, Brooklyn. Due to the disbandment at the ASTP, he was sent to Camp Breckenridge in Kentucky and was sent overseas in November 1944.
