Pfc Charles E. Warner graduated from Hammond High School in February 1944.He enlisted at Fort Benjamin Harrison, Indiana on 3 March 1944.
He received his basic training at Camp Wolters, Texas, Camp Van Dorn, Mississippi, and Camp Breckinridge, Kentucky, before being shipped overseas in October 1944.
