Pfc William R. Risley graduated from Neenah High School in 1943. He enlisted in July 1943 and trained at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri after which he entered the ASTP school at the College of the City of New York. He received further training at Fort Breckenridge, Kentucky and went overseaes on 1 November 1944.
