T/Sgt Lloyd K. Kouns attended college and was a routeman before he enlisted in Indianapolis, Indiana on 5 February 1943. He enlisted.The plane was shot down by enemy fighters. Eight crew members were taken prisoner, two were killed.
According to statements in the MACR, Lt Williamson believed both Lt Dennis and Sgt Kouns were killed by German civilians.
T/Sgt Kouns was initally buried at the cemetery of Kampehl on 24 May 1944.
