2nd Lt James G. Dennis graduated from Globe High School and attended the University of Arizona and the Arizona State Teachers College before he joined the Air Corps of the U.S. Army Reserve on 22 July 1942 in Phoenix, Arizona.The plane was shot down by enemy fighters. Eight crew members were taken prisoner, two were killed.
According to statements in the MACR, Lt Williamson believed both Lt Dennis and Sgt Kouns were killed by German civilians.
2n Lt Dennis was initialy buried as an unknown at the cemetery of Dreetz on 25 May 1944.
