More information

S/Sgt Howard J. Waldrop was employed at Owen And Richards Company.

He enlisted on 24 August 1943 at Fort McClellan, Alabama.

We saw aircraft 42-95028 go into a flat spin with the 1 engine out. The aircraft was under control, but it dropped back of the formation. One chute opened at this time. The plane continued to fall and the navigator of our aircraft saw 4 chutes. Staff Sergeant Howard J. Waldrop did not bailed out, because he was wounded in his leg.
