2nd Lt Mullins graduated from Parker High School and was was a ticket agent for the United Air Lines before entering the service.Aircraft was involved in a mid air collision en route to target with bomber flown by Lt.Powers, and the tail assembly of Chappell's bomber was sheared off. Remains of A/C went into a spin and crashed in the Baltic Sea a Mile from Danish Soil. Only one man from the Chappell crew survived and was taken POW.
