2nd Lt Stewart W. Munroe Jr. attended Lehigh University.Just after bomb release, plane took a direct flak in the #3 engine and set the bomb bay afire. Chutes were observed. The plane then went into a controlled dive to 10,000 feet. It was followed down by two Me 109s and then went into a flat spin.
