2nd Lt Marion A. Hutchens was employed in the advertising department of the High Point Enterprise. He was sent overseas in August 1944."We saw aircraft 42-95028 go into a flat spin with the 1 engine out. The aircraft was under control, but it dropped back of the formation. One chute opened at this time. The plane continued to fall and the Navigator of our aircraft saw 4 chutes."
5 crew members were killed in the crash and 4 were taken prisoner.
