More information

S/Sgt Edward M. Goodall graduated from Queen Anne High School in 1939 and was employed at Dexter Horton Building.

The aircraft lagged the formation due to flak damage sustained over the target, and fell victim to intense enemy fighter attack. It blew up shortly after it took a direct hit in the bomb bay.
There are more stories about the burial of Edward Gooddal. One story tells us that Edward is buried on the 30 November 1943 in Opeinde, and in June 1944 the War Department in Washington heard about it, knowing that it was Edward. But according to the mayor from Opeinde, there were two unknow "flyers" buried on 2 and the 4 December.
