More information

I saw aircraft 42-100372 right after it was hit. It started down on a level flight, followed by fighters. The top turret was firing all the way down until out of sight. The aircraft was under control and i observed one chute coming out back of hatch. The crew had plenty of time to bail out after the plane passed out of my sight at 18,000 feet.
He bailed out, but his body was found in a field in Belgium.
