S/Sgt Aldrich A. Seeley enlisted at Fort Snelling, Minnesota on 3 November 1942.

A/C 42-97246 was attacked by enemy fighters over target. Two men were killed by enemy fire. Five crew members bailed out and survived. The remaining three crew members were killed in the crash. Surviving aircrew reports indicate that S/Sgt Aldrich Seeley was last seen in the waist section, suffering from shock and afraid to jump. He was killed in the crash. The MACR indicates that S/Sgt Aldrich Seeley was initially interred at the Ehrenfriedhof Osterholz in Bremen.
