T/Sgt Paul Noll ttended Roosevelt High School and worked a clerk for Wagner Electric CorporationHe enlisted at Jefferson Barracks, Missouri on 13 January 1943 and was sent overseas in March 1944.
The aircraft took a flak hit in the right wing which broke off at #4 engine.
Eight crew members were killed. They were first buried at the Memorial Cemetery at Elsgrund-Döbertitz on 24 May 1944. Between 30 November and 7 December their remains were disinterred and evacuated to Ardennes.
One crew member, the co-pilot, Joseph J. Kozina, was taken prisoner.
