2nd Lt Flynn graduated from South Side Catholic High School in 1936 and studied at the University of Missouri. Before entering the army he was employed at the Weldon Spring ordnance plant.The mission took place on 11 February 1944.
The plane left the formation just after bombs away over Brunswick after hit by fighters. The aircraft was 100% destroyed by the crash and fire. The bodies found were extremely mutilated.
2nd Lt Flynn was officially decleared dead on 11 February 1945.
