More information

Sgt Henry F. Lee worked on a chemical plant before he volunteered for the Army of the United States in Newark, New Jersey on 14 April 1942.

The primary target was the Heinkel Aviation Industry at Oranienburg. Due to cloud cover, the secondary target, the city of Berlin, was attacked.

The aircraft was hit on the tail assembly by three bombs from an airplane of the high squadron. It was seen to go down out of control. Six parachutes were seen to open.

None of the crew members survived the crash.
