2n Lt Angus D. Stewart volunteered for the Air Corps of the Army of the United States as a private in New York City, New York on 17 March 1942. He attended college for 1 year and was a clerk before he joined the army.

The airplane was attacked by enemy aircraft. One engine was knocked off the ship, falling on aircraft no # 42-30872. Both airplanes went down. No parachutes were seen.

The entire crew of both airplanes was killed.
