Theodore Zivanidis was a shoemaker.

He joined the Coast Artillery Corps of the National Guard on 16 September 1940 in New York City, New York and later transferred to the Air Corps. He graduated from the bombardier-navigation school at Victorvill Army Air Field in California on 18 March 1944.

The airplane was shot down by flak and lost the right wing in an explosion. It was last seen in a steep dive and crashed at 1340 hours. No chutes were seen.

One crew member survived and was taken prisoner, eight men were killed.
