S/Sgt Chester H. Lundquist was a chauffeur.He enlisted in Los Angeles, California on 11 May 1942. He received training at several bases including Boise, Salt Lake City and Walla Walla, Washington. After finishing at Walla Walla he was on convoy duty over the Pacific ocean for twenty-one days from a base in Oregon. On 30 May 1943, he took off on his way to England
The airplane suffered a fire in the bomb-bay area from flak and fighter attacks.
Four crew members survived and were taken prisoner, six were killed. They were initially buried at the cemetery of Leimersdorf, Germany.
S/Sgt Lundquist is remembered at the North Wayne Cemetery in Olds, Henry County, Iowa.
