Pfc Glenn W. Tester was employed by a lumber company at Bend before he enlisted in August 1942. He had been overseas almost a year, participating in operations on the Anzio beachhead and the march on Rome.

He was reported wounded in action in Southern France on 24 August 1944 and, after a long hospitalization, had been back with his outfit only a short time before his death.

He is one of three brothers who are buried next to each other at Henri-Chapelle.
