Pfc N. A. Horton enlisted in Little Rock, Arkansas on 12 November 1942.

According to a German record, he was initially buried at the cemetery of Bedburg-Hau and disinterred by occupation forces on 19 March 1946.

Pfc Horton is remembered with a memorial marker at Canaan Cemetery in Marshall, Arkansas.
