Pfc Regis C. Sieffert owned and operated a book store before he enlisted in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania on 20 November 1942.He was reported wounded in action on 14 June 1944 and returned to active duty in August 1944. For this wound, he was awarded the Purple Heart Medal a first time.
He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery of Molenhoek, The Netherlands.
