Pvt Lorne J. Torrence attended PHS and was employed at Kingston-Conley Electric Company.He enlisted in Newark, New Jersey on 28 December 1943. He had been overseas six weeks. Besides his mother, he was survivied by an aunt and and uncle in East Hartford.
He was initially buried at Molenhoek Cemetery near Nijmegen, the Netherlands.
