Pfc John C. Zukosky and worked in manufacture of knit goods.He enlisted in Binghamton, New York on 22 September 1942.He was sent overseas in September 1943 and took part in the D-Day invasion on 6 June 1944.
He was wounded by shrapnel in Holland on 9 October 1944 and hospitalized in France until returning to duty in November
Pfc Zukosky was first buried at Temporary American Military Cemetery Grand Failly, France.
