Pfc Herbert F. Schulte enlisted and was sent overseas in September 1943.He was reported wounded in action a first time in France on 28 July 1944. He spent a few weeks in a hospital in England. On 14 December 1944, he was again wounded in action, this time severely and was in a hospital in England until April 1945.
