T/Sgt Charlie A. Reimer joined the Regular Army in Austin, Texas on 7 October 1940. He was a farmer before he joined the army. He was shot through the throat by enemy fire.His brother, Pvt Homer F. Reimer was killed in July, 1944 and is buried at the Normandy American Cemetery in France.
