More information

Pfc Francis M. Walls worked in a sawmill before he enlisted in Louisville, Kentucky on 22 December 1942.

Pfc Francis M. Walls was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery of Foy, Belgium on 6 February 1945. He was disinterred on 3 September 1948 and transported to Henri-Chapelle, where he was given his final resting place on 2 November 1948.

The IDPF shows that he suffered severe wounds over his entire body: a fractured skull, right ulna and radius and pelvis and all lower extremities missing, probably as a result of an artillery shelling.
