Pvt Herbert A. Davis enlisted in Richmond, Virginia on 8 April 1941.He was killed by multiple wounds caused by small arms fire.
He was initially buried as Unknown X-82 at the Temporary American Military Cemetery of Foy, Belgium. On 7 november 1945 he was reburied in a temporary grave at Henri-Chapelle. He was given his final resting place on 29 October 1948.
