Pfc Daniel T. Foret attended high school for two years and had worked at a fishing company before he enlisted at Jacksonvile AAF, Florida on 19 February 1941.

He died in a Portable Surgical Evacuation or T/O Convalescent Hospital to the effects of an artillery shell.

He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Ham, Luxembourg.
