Sgt Jack B. Himes graduated from Sandusky High School in 1932. He was employed with the Grand Rapids Herald advertising staff.He enlisted on 17 January 1944 and was sent overseas in August 1944.
He died of wounds, sustained on 1 Janaury 1945 in the vicinity of Bastogne.
Sgt Himes was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Solers, France.
