More information

2nd Lt Kenneth E. Robinson attended Miami University in Ohio for two years and entered the Army Air Corps in 1941. He was commissioned at Kirtland Field, Albuquerque, on 12 December 1942 and was sent overseas in June 1943.

The Navigator reported that Lt Robinson had pold his parachute in the aircraft and was pulled to the position in which he last saw him. The navigator also told that it was impossible to free him, because he had been pulled into and through the medal of the chip, his parachute was caught in the slipstream of the airplane, holding him fast to his position."

Lt Robinson was the only casualty. The other nine crew members bailed out and were taken prisoner.

He was initially buried at the community cemetery of Pesch.
