S/Sgt Warren K. Haga graduated from Perry High School in 1941. He attended Oklahoma A&M College.He volunteered for the Air Corps of the Army of the United States in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on 9 December 1942. He had been overseas since 6 March 1944.
B-17 #42-31698 was crippled by enemy fire during the first fighter attack. The right wing broke off and as it went down, collided with B-17 #42-97214. Both airplane exploded.
Of this B-17 two crew members were taken prisoner, seven men were killed.
