S/Sgt Julian D. Hill attended college and was employed at DuPont Company in Seaford, Delaware.
He joined the Air Corps of the U.S. Army Reserve in Baltimore, Maryland on 22 September 1942 and was sent overseas in April 1944.

The airplane was hit by flak and turned back to head for home. It immediateldy feathered one engine and dropped his bombs, losing altitude slowly.
Of the ten men crew, nine were able to bail out before the aircraft crashed. Five of these nine men were taken prisoner, the other four were killed.

S/Sgt Julian D. Hill bailed out successfully but was not picked up. He is presumed drowned.

He is remembered at the Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Hurlock, Dorchester County, Maryland.
