Pfc Edwin L. Turner attended high school for four years and was employed in the manufacturing of knit goods before he enlisted at Fort Bragg, North Carolina on 17 March 1942. He was sent overseas in November 1943.He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Andilly, France.
