Pvt Ray E. Beacham attended high school for four years and worked at the Standard Oil Company in Akron, Ohio before he volunteered for the Army of the United States at Fort Hayes Columbus, Ohio on 29 July 1942.He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Limey, France.
