Pfc Lester D. Sink attended high school for four years before he enlisted at Camp Croft, South Carolina on 6 February 1943.He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Andilly, France.
He is remembered at the Calvary United Church of Christ Cemetery in Thomasville, Davidson County, North Carolina.
His brother Junior R. Sink is remembered on the Tablets of the Missing at the American Military Cemetery and Memorial of Cambridge.
