Pvt Charles A. Doyle attended high school for one year and was employed at the Packard Motor Car Company before he enlisted in Detroit, Michigan on 25 March 1942.

He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Limey, France.

He is remembered at the Mount Hope Cemetery in Logansport, Cass County, Indiana.
