Pfc Wilbert E. Kroenke enlisted in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on 7 October 1942.His brother Pfc Roy C. Kroenke died on 26 March 1945 and is buried at the American Military Cemetery and Memorial of Lorraine, France. His brother Marvin C. Kroenke was also in the service, and was reported wounded in action on 11 january 1945 in Belgium.
